Given that I always link my projects to me personally while in first year of university I thought it would be fascinating to create a project based on a family tree. In this I included the portraits created in pencil of the family members I knew or had met. 

My reasoning behind only creating portraits of those whom I had met was because I saw it more realistic being that I had never seen their face before for them to just be a name in the family tree as even though they add some layer of importance to my family to me they did not physically at least. Normally a family tree is never quite so big but on the contrary my final piece was huge and it took over large majority of the wall, but I find like this it proved really effective. While still aiming to create photograph like pieces I found it added an extra layer with the individual drawings coming across somewhat unfinished with the pencil slowly fading out in areas as the actual photo has more around but that plays no part in this project so it was extracted an left as a single figure.
